it's over!

and it's over! :)

my sub internships are over :D

i was helping my intern to run his part of the ward which includes 4 6-bed cubicles, 1 high dependency area and 2 isolation high-d rooms.

NOT EASY :(

i have even more respect for interns now esp seeing them manage all the medical conditions of the patients almost single-handedly without any help or input from the attendings whatsoever, such is the sad state of ortho.

of course, the anaesthetists, geriatricians and various medical disciplines help greatly greatly greatly. i can't even count the amount of times i've had to call renal physicians, cardiologists, pulmonologists, haematologists etc to beg for help, after which they will usually help after hearing," i'm the ortho sub-intern". such is the notoriety!

we ended our last day by going out with the interns to celebrate at a nearby pub (this isn't us though, it's some other people who were there but i took this photo of the pretty lights!), and they treated us, being such lovely people they are! :D i love doctors. hehe.
we'd a smashing good time, and i'm thankful that we have seniors such as these to help us out in the future :)
more on ortho subinternship some other time! :)
